Jewelry Care
At Gold Soul Body Jewelry, we offer high-quality pieces from trusted vendors, designed to last. Made from implant-grade titanium, solid gold, and premium materials, our jewelry is built to endure, but regular care is essential to preserving its integrity.
Taking care of your jewelry not only ensures it maintains its shine and beauty but also helps prevent wear and tear over time. Proper upkeep protects the materials, ensuring that your investment lasts longer and continues to look and feel great. By caring for your pieces, you're helping them stay a cherished part of your collection for years to come.
Pro Tips
- Polish your gold jewelry lightly with the microfiber polishing cloth provided by us each month. This helps maintain the gold’s luster and keeps your pieces looking their best.
-
Clickers: Gently open and close designs with hinges to ensure longevity. They can become loose over time if handled roughly.
-
Seams: Gently open and close seam rings by twisting them sideways, similar to how you’d open a ketchup packet, rather than pulling the ends directly apart. Pulling the ends apart can distort the shape of the ring. On YouTube and Instagram there are tutorials on how to open these properly. These are best suited for piercings where they won’t be removed often.
- You can use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to remove debris by placing your jewelry in for about 5 minutes. Be sure to read the manufacturer’s instructions first, as some gemstones (like pearls or mercury mist topaz) are not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning. Disclaimer: While ultrasonic cleaners are effective, improper use or cleaning incompatible gemstones can result in damage, so proceed with caution. We recommend using only water in the cleaner, not chemicals—it may take a few cycles to fully clean.
Another effective method for healed piercings to clean soap scum, dead skin, and makeup products off jewelry is using a baby toothbrush dipped in isopropyl alcohol (only use this, nothing else) to gently scrub the jewelry in circular motions on all sides. This helps loosen debris. Rinse with water afterward. Disclaimer: We are not responsible for any damage or loss of jewelry, especially if cleaning over a sink, so be sure to take extra care when handling your pieces.
